This agreement is made between 4EVA YOUNG Camper Hire LTD, and the person/persons signing to accept these Terms and Conditions.
1. To drive the hire vehicle you need:
- To be between 21 to 70 years of age.
- To hold a full valid driver’s licence, held for a minimum of two years.
- Provide 4eva Young with a copy of the photo card licence with the correct name and address on it.
- Provide two further forms of identity including proof of current permanent address.
- To be fit and capable to drive.
- To obtain a code from DVLA to enable 4EVA YOUNG Camper Hire Ltd to make relevant driver’s licence checks.
- Meet the Insurance criteria including no disqualifications in the last 10 years and have no more than 6 points on current driving licence.
- Hirers will need to sign a copy of this hire agreement on or before the hire date.
Primary proof example: Utility Bill, Council, Tax, Bank statement, HMRC Self-assessment
Secondary proof example: Student Loan, Shotgun Licence, Payslip, Property Deed
Please note proof needs to be dated within 90 days of hire so for advance bookings please be aware you will be reminded to send them again 90 days before to verify there have been no changes – you may also bring them along to show on the date of hire.
2. Included in the price:
- 3-night rental qualifies for a 500-mile maximum allowance.
- 4-night rental qualifies for a 600-mile maximum allowance.
- 5-night rental qualifies for a 700-mile maximum allowance
- 6-night rental qualifies for a 800-mile maximum allowance.
- 7 nights or more – unlimited UK mileage (booking any season)
- (The renter may request details of proposed mileage prior to booking and destination plans)
- A full tank of fuel (Hire vehicle to be returned with a full tank of diesel fuel).
- UK breakdown cover.
- Vehicle insurance.
- Onboard equipment (see frequently asked questions).
EUROPEAN HIRE TERMS:
- Mid and Peak Seasons (April to October): European hire is available for a minimum of three weeks when renting Adrianna, Rocky, or Skye.
- Low Season (November to March): European hire is available for a minimum of two weeks for Adrianna, Rocky, or Skye.
- Additional Costs: There is an extra charge of £150 per week for taking the campervan abroad.
3. Security deposit:
- A security deposit will be taken on the day of the agreed hire. Depending on the vehicle, security deposits start from £750 up to £1,500. Please enquire.
- This deposit must be paid by bank transfer to validate insurance and needs to be cleared funds in our account at least 5 working days before hire or we can take a holding deposit on credit cards upon collection.
- 4Eva Young will refund your security deposit within 7 working days of the end of the hire period (usually by the following morning). Please note any damage to the camper van exterior or interior will be deducted from the security deposit accordingly.
- In the event you have caused damage to any of the camper vans and its equipment, you must notify us as soon as practicable and no later than the return handover.
- If you have a Road Traffic Collision in one of our campervans, you must notify us immediately or as soon as practicable prior to your return handover.
The security deposit is fully refundable when you return the hire vehicle as follows:
- To the agreed location no later than the agreed date and time.
- In the same condition as it was let out to you.
- With the interior clean including all cooking appliances. (Cleaning aids provided) Do not allow children to climb on the seats with shoes on and provide your own throws for dogs.
- Refilled to a full tank of diesel fuel.

4. Hire Vehicle Collection and Return Times:
- Vehicle collections are limited to Monday from 10.30 AM, Wednesday from 1 PM, Friday from 10.30 AM, and Saturday’s from 10.30 AM.
- Collections are not available on Tuesday, Thursday, or Sunday.
- All vehicles must be returned by 12:00 PM.
- There is a late return charge of £50 per hour as this also impacts the next hirer.
- We allow a half an hour window but ask that you contact us with any unavoidable delays) For any special requests on pick up/drop off times contact us to discuss.
A more exact pick-up/drop-off time may need to be given closer to the booking date to allow a seamless handover from the customer before.
Days out/events: By arrangement at the time of booking.
We would ask that you MUST ring/message us to let us know you are an hour away on your return journey so the gates can be opened for you.
5. Payment and Cancellation:
- A non-refundable booking deposit is taken when we confirm your reservation for the hire vehicle. This cost varies according to the type and duration of your hire. (Usually, 25% of the full cost of rental)
- The balance is due 6 weeks before departure or at the time of booking if less than 6 weeks before departure.
- We accept payment by Bank transfer and PayPal/card payments.
- If you cancel your booking up to 4 weeks before departure, we will refund 50% of the total hire charge. (Excluding the initial booking fee of 25%)
- If you cancel your booking less than 4 weeks before departure the amount paid is non-refundable.
- We recommend that you take out holiday insurance that covers cancellation fees.
- In the unlikely event that the van is no longer available due to unforeseen circumstances or a breakdown occurs on your trip cutting the trip short a refund will be given.
- We are moving all bookings affected by COVID to a different date of the hirers choosing (providing the dates are available) – if the dates are changed to a higher peak season there may be an additional charge.
- 4eva Young Camper Hire reserves the right to replace your chosen vehicle in the case the vehicle is sold/upgraded, this will be communicated to you prior to booking.
6. Rental Period Restrictions:
- No one-way rentals (Weddings may be considered dependent on van availability and availability of driver).
- Strictly no smoking. A £250 valeting charge will be deducted from the security deposit where there is evidence of smoking inside the hire vehicle.
- The number of passengers is limited to the capacity stated in each hire vehicle specification.
- All motoring fines (e.g., speeding/parking fines and tolls) are the hirer’s responsibility.
- No unauthorised towing.
- Use of our van for mainstream music festivals e.g., Glastonbury is not permitted, and vehicles are fitted with trackers. We reserve to cancel the booking should we discover this was the hirer’s intention. Please enquire about smaller family-friendly festivals as this may be possible on special agreement.
- No Stag or Hen parties.
- STRICTLY NO DRIVING ONTO THE BEACH OR SANDY AREAS IN ANY CAMPER AS IT CAN DAMAGE THE ENGINE and result in expensive repairs.
- You should only use diesel fuel.
- Up to a medium-sized dog may travel with you for an extra charge to cover cleaning of £30. Any evidence of damage caused by a Pet will be deducted accordingly from the security deposit.
7. Insurance:
- Standard Excess is £750 (£1000 or £750 for younger/older drivers) and in the event of any damage to either the vehicle or to third-party property, the hirer will be liable for the first £750 (£750 or £1000).
- The hirer will be fully liable for the replacement or repair of windscreen or tyre damage.
- The Hirer is provided with fully comprehensive insurance for the duration of the hire period only (only for drivers that have supplied licence details that have been checked by us and pre-arranged – allowing someone else to drive without prior permission the van will mean the insurance is invalid. In the event the vehicle is seized by police due to invalid insurance as outlined above it’s the hirers’ responsibility to pay for any charges or fines associated with this.
Insurance invalidates if any of the below:
- You have had in insurance declined previously.
- Renewal refused and special insurance terms imposed because of a claim.
- Had insurance coverage cancelled by any insurer.
- Have you been convicted of an offence whilst driving a motor vehicle or motorcycle and/or had your driving licence endorsed or suspended or more than 6 penalty points imposed.
- Have you been involved in more than one fault accident in the last 3 years.
During the booking phase we check the licence to meet our insurance criteria – should anything change to the licence after the initial check and before the hire date, it is the hirer/driver’s responsibility to notify 4eva Young Camper Hire so a further check can be completed to ensure you still meet the criteria.
Please note there is an extra £25 charge to add a second driver.
8. Personal Safety:
- While we take safety seriously, please note that it is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure the safety of children while in or around the vehicle, particularly while using the upper bunks.
- There are seat belts fitted in all vehicles and seatbelt extenders can be provided on enquiry.
- Do not use the gas stove to heat the van and always have a door/window open when using the stove to cook.
- Please do not leave electrical plug-in heaters on when the vehicle is unattended or overnight when you are sleeping.
- Please note there may be knives included as part of the cooking equipment so please do not allow children to open the drawers or containers unsupervised.
9. Accidents and Damage:
- Any damage to the interior or exterior of the hire vehicle will be repaired at the hirer’s cost and be deducted from the security deposit.
- In the event you have caused damage to any of the camper vans and its equipment, you must notify us as soon as practicable and no later than the return handover. There is a standard insurance excess of £750 (or £750/£1000 depending on age and motoring convictions) should you be involved in an accident.
- Please note the hirer is responsible for any tyre or windscreen damage as this is not covered by insurance.
A full report of the accident must be submitted to 4eva Young Camper Hire Ltd within 3 days.
Vehicle Repairs
- We reserve the right to use the vehicle manufacturer or our own approved garage/workshop for any repairs. The vehicles are maintained to a high standard by using the correct parts and accessories.
Minor Damage
- If the Damage is minor/superficial and won’t impact the next hirer, we may wait until the end of the busier seasons to complete the repairs to prevent disruption to the next hirer.
- In this case, we will provide an invoice for the work to be carried out by an approved garage – should the amount be more at the time of repair 4Eva Young will not request any further monies.
Serious Damage (if the vehicle is taken completely off the road)
- If the damage is serious and needs immediate attention for safety or legal reasons, we reserve the right to pass on any extra costs incurred by 4eva Camper Hire Ltd, this may be the vehicle’s nightly fee for each day it’s off the road and unable to fulfil its bookings.
For either minor or serious damage we reserve the right to pass on any excessive extra charges 4eva Young Camper Hire incurs in the process of repairing the damage – such as fuel to and from the garage. 4eva Young Camper hire will only pass on additional charges if it feels excessive and will be fair and transparent.
Breakdown
- In the unlikely event of a breakdown, the vehicle has UK Premium breakdown cover. If the vehicle cannot be fixed at the roadside, they will give you the option to take you to your holiday destination. Should you choose to continue the holiday our breakdown will then collect the hirer and bring it to the home destination. Should a breakdown impact on your trip a refund may be given by 4EVA Young Camper Hire Ltd.
- In the event of an accident or breakdown, you must inform us immediately or as soon as practicable.
9a. Liabilities or losses
- 4eva Young Camper Hire will endeavour to rectify any problems the vehicle may experience whilst away on your trip. Due to the nature of the distances the vehicles travel, it may not always be possible to get the vehicle repaired during your hire.
- Should this occur 4 Eva Young may ask you to return the vehicle and refund the remaining nights of your trip in full.
- Should you wish to continue the trip, and this is agreed with 4 Eva Young Camper hire no refunds shall be offered.
- 4eva Young Camper Hire shall not be responsible for the costs/refunds of any losses or other accommodation/connecting travel.
- It is strongly recommended to take out suitable holiday insurance to cover any unavoidable losses.
10. Definitions of Terms and Conditions:
- This Agreement means the Rental Agreement, the Insurance Motor Rental Agreement and these Terms and Conditions. In the event of any discrepancy between these Terms and Conditions and any other 4eva Young Camper Hire Ltd literature, the provisions of these Terms and Conditions apply.
- 4EVA Young means 4EVA Young Camper Hire Ltd, Registered address Unit 6 Heritage Business Park Derby Road Belper, Derbyshire, DE56 1SW
- ‘Customer’ means the person or persons nominated as the hirer under the heading ‘Main Driver’ on the booking, and the person whose credit card/debit/Bank details are presented in the payment of the customer’s charges.
- ‘Rental Period’ means the hire period referred to under the heading ‘Hire period ‘or any agreed variation thereof and any additional period during which the vehicle is in the customer’s possession or control.
- ‘Vehicle’ means the vehicle described on the website and includes tyres, tools, accessories, living equipment and any other special equipment, documents related to the Vehicle and any replacement or substitute Vehicle which may be provided at the discretion of 4eva Young Camper Hire Ltd.
11. Lost/unclaimed Property
- It is the hirer’s responsibility to ensure all personal belongings have been removed from the vehicle at the end of the hire period.
- Any items found by 4EVA Young in the vehicle will be saved and stored for a maximum of 90 days until such time the owner has made their own arrangements and costs to recover them.
- If contact has not been made or suitable arrangements following 90 days from the end of the hire date the property may be destroyed or donated to charity.
- Should the hirer wish 4EVA Young to post the items to their home address arrangements to cover the postage should be made on an up-front basis.
