Adrianne – 5 berth automatic
A low profile 5 berth, 5 belt family AUTOMATIC motorhome with a garage and with sophisticated Italian styling – the Giottiline Siena 395 is not your average motorhome.
The dinette is extendable and adjustable to allow up to five people to dine. The two forward-facing three-point belted seats combine with the side-facing seat (with lap belt) and the two swivelling cab seats, to accommodate everybody.
The dinette converts to form a sleeping place measuring 200cm across the vehicle and narrowing from 113cm to 70cm. Above this, is a double electric drop-down bed (measuring 196cm x 126cm) that benefits from a great view of the stars through the panoramic roof light. To the rear, the sleeping area can be configured as two singles or a large double with an infill that could also accommodate a younger child. The singles measure 202cm x 79cm wide each plus the infill measuring 85cm wide by 191cm long.
The kitchen comes equipped with a stainless steel sink with mixer tap, two gas burners and adjacent work surface, for ease of preparation and service. Opposite you will find a large three-way fridge with separate freezer and a gas oven above.
The cassette toilet and washbasin are on one side, with a door that swings across to form a private dressing area when using the separate shower cubicle on the other side. LED lighting throughout means it looks good and it’s easy on the leisure battery. The garage locker is a real attraction on the Siena 395. The doors measure 112cm x 70cm and the maximum clearance height inside the locker is 120cm.
Rocky – 4 berth manual
At under 6 metres long, with 4 belted seats and four sleeping berths, the Giottiline Siena 422 (from Rapido Group) incredibly offers the benefit of a garage under the rear fixed double bed. With an additional over-cab double bed, this is an excellent choice for families or couples. The bed section is on gas struts that may be pushed up out of the way to give more headroom in the cab.
The dining area accommodates two inertia reel belted travelling seats that combine with the two swivelling cab seats to form the dining group. There are numerous cupboards, offering ample storage options.
The kitchen area is equipped with two gas burners, a sink with mixer tap and a large fridge-freezer with a drinks cooler drawer beneath. There are three large storage drawers beneath the sink and hobs; these are fitted with a cutlery tray and soft close fittings. A lift-up flap provides extra work surface.
The compact washroom accommodates the shower cubicle, wash basin and cassette toilet. There is a floor insert so you don’t risk soggy socks when the shower has been in use.
To the rear is the fixed double bed. The small steps up to the bed contain further storage, accessed via a hinged lid. A further access door goes through to the garage locker. A privacy curtain hangs from the ceiling.
The motorhome has LPG gas-fired blown-air heating and hot water provided by a Truma boiler. There is LED lighting throughout the vehicle, minimising the drain on the leisure battery when you are off-grid.
